The Young Workers Awareness Steering Committee for the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board is committed to providing information to students on workplace safety. The committee is comprised of educators, industry representatives and career resource personnel.

An average of 42 young Ontario workers are injured, made ill or killed on the job everyday. The Ontario Safe Work Partners believe these injuries are preventable. The Young Worker Awareness Program (YWAP) introduces young workers to workplace health and safety.
